RSN Roofing Christmas at the Ruakaka Races
The perfect way to end the year with a Christmas party at the Races. Bring your workmates, friends or family and come celebrate with an afternoon of thoroughbred racing action at this idyllic beachside location and let us look after all the details including themed spaces, live entertainment, Christmas fare and if you’re lucky a visit from Santa.
Six races during the afternoon provides a great entertainment backdrop to your work function and allows colleagues to mix and mingle. The centrally located big screen brings all the back straight action up close with live music between races in the grandstand undercroft. There is a free return race day bus service from Whangarei.

Gates open: 12pm .
Come dressed in casual wear but remember it is an outdoor event and is weather dependent so there maybe changes to what is available and the timing of events. Read the Ts and Cs of entry in the About Section.
Transport and Car Parking:
Car parking at the course is free.
There will be free return raceday buses from Whangarei with bus pick up times to be finalised once race times are confirmed. Pick up points are Kamo Club; Kamo Hotel; Kensington Tavern; Rose Street Bus Terminal; The Judge House of Ale. Other pick up points can be arranged for large groups by contacting the office.
Food & Drink
Bars, Bayview Cafe, The Morning Glory coffee van and betting operations will be open from an hour before the first race (tbc)
Indoor/Outdoor Options
Choose your spot .. ..on the lawn hill, on the seats in the shade of the grandstand roof or in one of the function rooms open for the public..all with no charge.
Eftpos will be available from selected betting windows and bars but there are no credit card facilities.

You’re right in the heart of the racing action in the premium Santa’s Trackside Marquee Village. Located on the front lawn of the home straight. This is the perfect location to enjoy the excitement of the races and feel the horses thundering past the Winning Post.
Your package includes:
- Reserved 3m x 3m mini marquee for 10 guests with table and 10 chairs.
- Racebooks and pens at table.
- Two beverage vouchers per guest.
- Antipasto platter to start the day followed by a Christmas themed buffet BBQ with dessert platter to your table.
- Dedicated Bar and TAB Facilities in this exclusive trackside village with cash bar (or corporate bar tab an option for businesses).
- Big screen located directly opposite so that you don't miss the action down the back straight.
NB: Bookings are for 10 guests per marquee group. Marquees can be joined together for larger groups. A table and umbrella with seating for up to 8 additional guests can be added to the front of your marquee for $135 per person.

Intimate room located at the rear of the grandstand overlooking the Hen and Chick Islands in the Bay. Suitable 20-30 guests who want a private base but are happy to wander out for a bet. TVs for race viewing and betting odds. Flexible catering options.
